ROADKILL is a surf club / set of guerilla creative protocols designed to quickly accumulate, index, and territorialize found content aka "roadkill".
Art is slow, theory is slower. Media is a little faster, fashion faster still. ROADKILL uses a robust experimental toolkit of scavenging, hyperstition, manipulation, remix, prototyping (etc) to supercede the engines of production and approach the spoils of Capital and culture as loot to be gathered and re-inscribed in a post-apocalyptic terrain - haunted, of course, as the post-political irrrupts into the Real.
It was not meant as a statement. Not at all. They just took it, mixed it, altered and extended it. They did not even care.
Artifacts. Cultural objects. De facto found footage. Natural materials. No hierarchy but full potential.
Total opennesssssssss Ssssssssssssssssssss ssssssssssss ssssss A thrilling, raspy scream that sounds exactly like a raptor should sound.
At least, that's what Hollywood directors seem to think.
- No need to hunt, we just wait for the roadkill
